HOMECOMING GALLERY - AMSTERDAM
Spanning two generations, the artists in this exhibition each maintain a distinct relationship to Lebanon, shaped by different historical moments—from the Civil War and its long aftermath to more recent periods of political, economic, and personal uncertainty. Their practices vary widely in medium, approach, and perspective, yet they share a sensitivity to memory, transformation, resilience, and the ways in which life continues despite disruption.
Rather than presenting a singular narrative of Lebanon, Nothing Ends Here embraces the diversity of artistic responses to change and instability. Moving between figuration and abstraction, photography and painting, landscape and introspection, the works explore questions of place, perception, materiality, and persistence. Some draw directly from personal histories and collective memory, while others engage with atmosphere, gesture, and the traces left behind by time.
